ABOUT LIFE IS GOOD:

In 1989, brothers Bert and John Jacobs designed their first tee shirt. For five years they sold tee shirts in the streets of Boston and traveled the East Coast selling to kids on college campuses.

In 1994 inspiration struck. The iconic face of Life is good came from a drawing hanging up on their apartment wall.  That was Jake, a happy little stick figure with a big ol’ smile who seems to just really enjoy life. One September day they printed up 48 Jake shirts for a local street fair in Cambridge, MA. Halfway through the day all of those shirts were gone.

Soon that little character was introduced to retailers in the area. Then it began to spread across the US.
